Lou Rogers, working at the Rudolph N. Rohn liturgical arts company in Pittsburgh, PA, in the early 1980's.
And on the Mountain, over Boulder, CO, at 20 years old. She saw the Mountains both as entities in themselves and as populated with numinous beings, which manifested in her paintings and writings.
These photos are beautiful, Forest. I especially like the second one. She looks determined. :]

Hello Forest, it's lovely when artistic talent is passed down in the genes.
I just wanted to stop by to say how wonderful I think your work is. I am drawing Baba Yaga myself at the moment and am always pleased to find another lover of she in the chicken-leg house!
All best wishes to you
Rima

In the first photo of your Mother I can see how much you look like her. When I met her years ago, in Santa Fe, I did not see that as much as in this photo.
Hope all is well with you.

Ah yes, Jessica -- you have caught one of her definite traits. She was indeed determined; most gentle but in her own way unstoppable in the pursuit of her unique visions.
And, it's a pleasure to see your wonderful creatures at Etsy, Jessica (see them there under dollproject, everyone)!
Thank you Rima! Baba Yaga is ever fascinating to me. As well as being a role model one can continue to aspire to indefinitely... And oh yes, that Hut. Your site is fabulous, Rima; you have your own world going, and no mistake! I love the feeling you create both with your work and your site...
Mo'a, thank you. Ah, I miss her...
Ever a pleasure to hear from you, and to go peek into your magical world again...

Your mother looks so at home in the second photo. When you said she saw the mountains as entities it made me smile and think of thunder snow. I always describe it to people as sounding like mountains walking.
Your work is so inspiring I always look forward to seeing more of it!

Her beauty in so many ways lives on through you. The second picture gave me a lump in my throat. She looks so brave and determined, but so damn young. It's nice to know that she made a long journey out of it all. You must have been a perfect fellow traveler, which made all the difference in the world.
